4 hearts instead of 3 had been splinter with void for sure
4 diamond is a Cue Italien style showing first or second round control,
...no 1. or 2. round club-control AND small slam interest.

4♥ seems obvious, let partner know you are void now and he will have all the info he needs if he bids 3NT

Would bidding 4S here say that a club control doesn't exist? I think it would, so 4H for me.

1) 3H was an overbid. You are suggesting slam, when game is very dubious opposite a minimum.
2) 4S. Pd is as likely to have a singleton diamond as the king. You have already ovebid. Put on the brakes now. If pd has a big hand he will continue.

Yes 3♥ was an overbid (unless it was game invitational only). Still I feel like I have to bid 4♥ now. Partner may have a huge hand but two small clubs and won't be able to continue over 4♠. Also, since 4♥ confirms all controls, I would think it denies extras -- with extras AND all controls, I can just go on.

If pd is only concerned with club control. He can still bid 5S to invite.

1) 3h was fine. Should show around 15-17 total pts and short hearts and long spades.
2) 4h now, again showing around 15-17 total pts and void in hearts.
3) Partner should not be cuebidding a stiff or void in D, I bid that suit. 4D must show K of D and partner should not cuebid if they have no slam interest across from 15-17 total pts and short hearts.
4) Partner should be captain on this hand as I have limited my hand and partner is unlimited.

i think 4♥ stands out.. partner can sign off with wasted values... imo 3♥ was probably a little bold, but there's good playing strength here so i wouldn't criticize it too much

i'd say 5♣ shows a ♥stiff.. i don't like that bid much, because i think i already overstated my hand with 3♥... i'd rather partner have the chance to bid 4♠ if 5 of his hcp is in hearts

The problem is not from controls.How do you know the quality of PD's ♠?
SO I don't think 3♥ rebid is good enough.I would bid 4♠ directly.

4H, which shows a C control the way I play. Partner should definitely NOT be cueing a D shortage, so we can assume he has the DK. The quality of the S suit is the key to whether a slam is possible. Pd can KC or bid 5S to check trump quality. I will pass his 4S bid.

If you can splinter with as little as this, either Serious 3NT and/or Last Train should apply. So 4♠. I'm not familiar with Italian style, though, so I'm probably wrong.

we got only 25% :angry: in this hand and don't know why and how to bid this slam
Maybe other EW were bidding hearts strongly, then it may be easier.

I think anything that skips 4♥ denies a void. Except maybe 4♠.
