What matters is not 4 or 5 card majors but the style.

With 4♠/4m we open the minor, old fashioned Acol players open 1♠ so ours is only 4 if 4333 strong NT and can be assumed to be 5.

Ok, would this mean, that your p always raises with 3 spades? And that not doing so basically implies at most 2 spades?

Hearts are out. Spades are likely to be on my right. CK looks most likely choice from the minors, but a diamond could be right.
